Founded in New Zealand in 2000 by Joe Kouwenhoven. Future Cuisine is a leading domestic and international supplier of value-added Greenshell Mussel products. Delivering marinated mussels, smoked mussels, and other niche products.  For the food service industry, large supermarket chains and other key retailers.
 

While we manage close to 6,000 tonne of mussels a year through our West Auckland based business.  We are still very much a family-run operation.  Our roots tracing back to the fish shop our father started in 1980 at the top of “Chinaman’s Hill”, Grey Lynn, Auckland.

 

We have always strived to put the consumer at the heart of the Future Cuisine business.  Our quest to deliver the ultimate Greenshell™ mussel led us to adopt state-of-the art harvesting and processing techniques. This enables us to produce a fresher tasting mussels.
